My journey so far....
A love of dance started at Italia Conti Academy in 1987 and I haven’t stopped learning and exploring new ways to enjoy movement ever since.
After suffering injuries as a dancer, I trained as a personal trainer and sports therapist in 2003 and started yoga around this time, beginning the rewarding journey toward a stronger, healthy body and calmer mind.
Moving without physical pain and armed with many techniques that really work to ease anxiety and promote joy has been such a blessing that I decided I wanted to share the transformative benefits of yoga, taking my first teacher training in 2012 and since graduating I have been teaching full time and studying daily.
I strongly believe we are all students of yoga regardless of the number of years we have been doing it and that's what I love about this sweet and timeless practice, there is always something new to discover about yourself through the process.
I am eternally grateful to my teachers, Allie Hill, Toni Roberts, Jason Crandell, Stephanie Snyder, Tiffany Cruickshank, Uma Dinsmore Tuli, Cherie Lathey, Ayala Homossany, Jyoti Manuel.
The teacher training courses I have completed are: Hot yoga, Vinyasa sequencing, Womens yoga, Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga, Fertility yoga, Partner yoga, Yoga and mindfulness for children, Restorative yoga and I will finish my Advanced 300hrs Vinyasa training with Jason Crandell in November 2019.
With nearly two decades of experience, I would love to help you enjoy how your body moves in an intelligent, thoughtful yet playful way.
My focus has always been about building strength to enrich the experience of daily activities, alongside learning breathing techniques helping you to find balance and space in body and mind.
Whilst able to achieve some of the advanced postures requiring excessive flexibilty I personally dont believe variations of the splits or many other pretzel yoga postures benefit most of us in our real lives.
My teaching focus is to help you understand how your unique body can enjoy pain free movement that is explorative and fun.
I have learnt to keep my student's practices interesting incorporating various movement methodologies.
I provide private classes in my Forest Hill studio in SE23 and public studio classes in SE London specialising in vinyasa, pregnancy, postnatal, hatha, restorative and fertility yoga.
I teach to all levels, ability and requirements, yoga is for everyone and I encourage my students to challenge themselves in accessible ways.
Follow me on Instagram or Facebook, sign up for amazing value semi-private classes, join me for a studio yoga class or book yourself or a loved one a private class.
I am a Chartered Level 2 Yoga Alliance Professional with full insurance, experience and a passion share all the amazing benefits yoga can offer.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
